I had an appointment today with a nurse. It wasn't very eventful but I do have my first ultrasound scheduled for August 29 at 2:30 and my second ultrasound set for September 9 at 2:30. I had another HCG draw today and the number came back as 2497. It didn't double like it has been doing but the nurse assures me that it went up enough. She said they like to see it double but as long as it goes up at least 60% they don't worry about it.
At 21 DPO, the average HCG level is 1061, with a typical range of 324-4130
I just found this on a website:
Beta hCG levels usually double approximately every 2 days for the first four weeks of pregnancy. As pregnancy progresses the doubling time increases. By 6 to 7 weeks gestation beta hCG levels may take as long as 3 1/2 days to double.
Maybe since I am now in week 5 it is taking longer for the HCG to double.
Week 5 - Baby is the size of an apple seed.
Our embryo (looking kind of like a tadpole) is starting to form major organs (heart, kidney, liver, stomach) and systems (nervous, circulatory, digestive).

August 29th, that is so soon. I can't wait for the ultrasound pictures. But most of all I can't wait for April.
